Message	different environments behind the dash vs. inside the engine bay. Engine bay is a very nasty area -- so if crimping anything there really best to make sure the entire connection has been well sealed to prevent corrosion/connection issues. Don't get me wrong - still need to well seal solder connections there too -- but crimping means even less tolerance for moisture intrusion (IMHO)....
